Healthy Living with Georgia
With her latest debut on MTV’s ‘The Challenge’, we were almost certain that Georgia must have gone through some tough training in preparation for the hit show. We interviewed her about how she keeps fit and healthy.
What motivates you to workout?
My biggest motivation is knowing how I will feel after my workout. I often suffer from anxiety and I know after a decent workout I will be left feeling positive with a clear mindset.
There are also physical benefits too; I do quite a lot of photoshoots so it’s important I feel good and confident within myself. If I have a big shoot coming up I try to make my PT sessions and keep healthy.
What do you usually do in your PT sessions?
My PT sessions are almost always weight training. It really depends on what I’m working towards at that time of my life. For example, when I was getting ready to film for MTV’s ‘The Challenge’, I was always hanging off things, monkey climbing or MMA fighting in preparation. I also take part in HIIT classes.
How do you keep a healthy diet?
I think the best way to make sure that you’re eating healthy is to prepare your meals each day. Stock up on healthy snacks, I usually make sure I have celery, fruit and vegetables and a couple of protein snacks. It stops me from rummaging through my cupboards looking for Super Noodles! Also, It’s important to get enough sleep, I find when I’m going to bed at a decent hour I don’t snack too much in the evening.
What does your typical day look like?
I usually try to wake up at 5.30am, I have a quick cup of tea or coffee to get me started and then I head off to do some form of yoga or fitness at my local studio. I like to do early classes as I feel like if I start the day this way then my head feels clear for the rest of the day.
If I’m on a real health kick I then will go on to do some other kind of fitness, I usually go to a PT session or an MMA class.
I will then complete any admin for GHX Style, put my makeup on and get my hair ready. I love taking my frenchie, Sky, for a walk with my mum before making us a healthy dinner in the evening. But if I have an event or some sort of public appearance to do, it can take me all day to get ready!
And finally, what’s important to you in life?
In life I try to always keep positive and remind myself to look for the best in everything even if I feel like I’m going through a terrible time. I think it’s important to keep yourself on the straight and narrow. I'm always doing some sort of meditation, yoga, or exercise to keep focussed on the health of myself and of course my family and friends. It can be hard with being in the public eye sometimes but I just try to wake up and look for the best in each day.
